Watch Out for “Tabnabbing”
Tabnabbing is a relatively new phenomenon. Say you have an Internet browser open and you’re paying bills online, but you stop, open a new tab, and get distracted. Tabnabbing occurs when hackers tap into your inactive page, create a mock-up, and capture your data when you return. Whenever you conduct financial transactions, view personal accounts, or access sensitive information, complete the transaction before opening another tab. Get your “work” done and log off before you move on to something else.
